Senior Marketing Manager, Joint Repair Emerging Markets

About the role

Smith+Nephew is looking for an experienced Sports Medicine marketing leader to drive growth of its Joint Repair portfolio across Emerging Markets, based in Dubai, UAE. The role combines strategic marketing, market development and customer insight to grow the Shoulder and Hip Repair portfolio across a diverse international region.

Key responsibilities

• Work with regional, global and in-country teams to understand market needs, identify opportunities and build marketing plans.
• Bring products to market: assess opportunities, develop positioning and messaging, shape go-to-market strategies and coordinate launches.
• Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns and support sales teams with tools, evidence and training.
• Work with key customers and local KOLs to inform plans and educational initiatives.
• Use market research, customer feedback, commercial performance and market trends to guide decisions.
• Manage marketing budgets and pricing, and build business cases for strategic projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, business administration or life sciences; a master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in Medical Devices Marketing or the medical industry, with orthopaedics and Sports Medicine experience, particularly arthroscopy.
• Strong experience in product launches, marketing strategy, market research, business development and regional or international business.
• Experience in sales force effectiveness and key account management is advantageous.
• Extensive, current Sports Medicine knowledge and strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and present and demonstrate products to varied audiences.
