Senior Network Engineer / Administrator

About the role

The Senior Network Engineer / Administrator will ensure the stability, integrity and performance of voice, data, video and wireless network services across the hospital. You will lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of LAN and WAN infrastructures while supporting end‑users and collaborating with vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and maintain LAN/WAN networks and ensure high availability of network services.
• Install, monitor, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot network hardware and software from vendors such as Huawei, FortiGate, Cisco, Avaya and Dell.
• Develop, implement and enforce corporate network and security policies, including ACLs, NAT and VPN configurations.
• Perform security scanning of LAN, DMZ and internet‑facing devices and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Monitor devices and services using SolarWinds and Fortinet Analyzer to meet SLA targets.
• Coordinate with users and vendors for new projects, capacity planning and level‑2/3 support.
• Execute monthly backups of network devices and manage change implementations.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in network administration/engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Professional Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Routing & Switching, DCCC, EAIIC, ECC).
• Huawei HCIP R&S and Fortinet NSE‑1/2 certifications.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Configuration and maintenance of Cisco ASA 5520 and Fortinet firewalls (1000D, 200E, 3000D, etc.).
• Huawei switch platforms (S5730HI, S5720, CE6810, S6720, S12708, AR2240C).
• L2 technologies: VLANs, VTP, trunking, EtherChannel, STP, inter‑VLAN routing.
• Wireless LAN Controllers (Huawei/Cisco) and management of 500+ access points.
• Protocols and routing: TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VPN, NAT, PAT.
• Implementation of ACLs, IPSEC VPN tunnels with two‑factor authentication.
• Use of monitoring tools SolarWinds and Fortinet Analyzer.
• Avaya Communication Manager configuration and IP‑phone support.
