Senior Officer - Procurement (Engineering & Facilities)

About the role

The Senior Officer – Procurement will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for engineering and facilities projects. You will analyse requirements, source suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure timely, cost‑effective acquisitions in line with company policies and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Review procurement requirements with relevant departments and prepare RFPs, RFQs, Invitations to Bid and other tender documents.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, from sourcing and evaluating vendors to negotiating pricing, quality standards and delivery terms.
• Process purchase requisitions, bid documents and purchase orders while complying with internal controls and timelines.
• Evaluate supplier performance using metrics such as delivery reliability, quality, responsiveness and price consistency.
• Oversee contract lifecycle activities, including amendments, renewals and extensions.
• Conduct financial evaluations of vendor proposals and present commercial assessments to approvers.
• Coordinate technical evaluations of shortlisted proposals with business units and subject‑matter experts.
• Prepare award documentation, signed contracts and purchase orders to avoid project delays.
• Maintain vendor pre‑qualification records and ensure compliance with flydubai’s vendor management policies.
• Support the approved vendor list, enhance supplier relationship management and provide training on procurement systems.
• Produce dashboards and reports on procurement performance, KPI tracking and departmental insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven procurement experience, preferably in engineering or facilities environments.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, evaluate suppliers and manage vendor performance.
• Understanding of ISR policies and completion of required ISR awareness sessions.
