Senior Officer Procurement - IT

About the role

The Senior Officer Procurement manages the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle for transactional and tactical procurement requirements, covering the full RFQ process, purchase order management, delivery expediting, payment coordination and resolution of procurement disputes. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely, compliant and cost-effective procurement of goods, services and works, in line with Abu Dhabi Airports' corporate governance policies.

Key responsibilities

• Review requisitions and coordinate with stakeholders on scope of work, technical criteria and evaluation committee details.
• Conduct market research, prepare tender strategies and bidder lists, issue RFQs and manage clarifications and site visits.
• Support technical and commercial evaluations, negotiate commercial terms and recommend purchase order awards.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, coordinate delivery and facilitate payment processing.
• Manage PO variations, resolve supplier claims with Legal, and set up Framework Agreements with end users.
• Maintain accurate records, auditable procurement files and compliance with SLAs/KPIs; coordinate with auditors.
• Conduct performance appraisals of subordinates, identify training needs and perform other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience for goods, services and/or works, preferably in a client organization.
• Knowledge of electronic tendering systems and ERP platforms; Microsoft Office 365 proficiency preferred.
• Ethics, analytical thinking, financial and commercial acumen, negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
