Senior Piping Construction Engineer – PMC (Habshan)

About the role

This position is for a senior PMC Piping Construction Engineer responsible for overseeing all on‑site piping activities for a high‑profile client in Habshan, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise EPC contractor piping construction, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, method statements and IFC deliverables.
• Champion ADNOC’s “Zero Incident” safety culture, conduct site safety audits and intervene on unsafe acts.
• Ensure construction works meet ADNOC standards, project specifications and international codes; manage inspections, tests and NCR close‑outs.
• Act as primary PMC interface with EPC contractors, reviewing progress reports, challenging inefficiencies and supporting commercial teams on variations.
• Track construction progress against baseline schedules, identify critical path issues and coordinate recovery plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, commissioning and operations teams to resolve technical queries and manage interfaces.
• Support pre‑commissioning, commissioning and hand‑over activities, verifying mechanical completion and readiness for startup.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of oil & gas project experience, including at least 5 years in a PMC role on ADNOC or similar Middle East projects.
• At least 3 years in a senior piping construction engineering position.
• Experience on large‑scale EPC/EPCM projects (CAPEX > USD 500 M).
• Qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.

• Piping construction supervision and EPC contractor management.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, specifications and work practices.
• Quality assurance & control procedures, inspection & test plans (ITP) and NCR handling.
• Health, safety and environment (HSE) leadership, permit‑to‑work systems.
• Schedule and progress monitoring, critical path analysis.
