Senior Planner - Mining & Energy

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Senior Planner for its Project Management division in Dubai, working in a collaborative team environment where client objectives are met. The role suits an enthusiastic, self-motivated person with strong written and verbal communication skills who wants to contribute to the division.

Key responsibilities

• Support the project team on all planning functions, highlighting and clarifying programme issues.
• Give planning advice and direction to project team members and stakeholders, and produce programme assurance reports for each client commission.
• Produce progress reports showing variance against baselines, and deliver period programme updates and inputs to project reports.
• Coordinate between clients and their partners' programmes, consultants' and contractors' programmes of work, and compliance with the project programme, reporting non-compliances for resolution.
• Provide planning support to the bidding team so that bidding documentation can be submitted on time.

Required profile

• BSc degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of postgraduate experience.
• Regional experience with professional consultancy.
• Industry experience in the energy and mining sector.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge and proficiency with multiple discipline-specific software, including Primavera (P6) and/or other planning and resourcing software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Professional working knowledge of project management and planning software and tools.
