Senior Planning Engineer - MEP

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer for MEP projects in Dubai. The role leads programme development and analysis for major or complex MEP projects, mentors junior planning engineers and provides advanced delay analysis support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of detailed master programmes for major and complex projects and integrate MEP subcontractor and supplier programmes into the overall schedule.
• Conduct advanced delay analysis to support EOT claims and recovery planning, prepare time impact assessments and present findings to the Planning Manager and commercial team.
• Mentor planning engineers on programme techniques, review their updates and give constructive feedback.
• Track actual progress against baseline programmes, highlight critical path deviations and issue periodic progress reports and dashboards to project management and senior leadership.
• Identify programme risks across MEP disciplines, propose mitigation or recovery measures and develop recovery programmes with project and construction teams.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency, and encourage innovation to reduce costs without compromising quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7-9 years of planning and project controls experience, preferably on major or complex MEP and construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with project managers, commercial teams, subcontractors, consultants and construction teams to monitor progress and resolve programme risks.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, presentation, stakeholder-management and mentoring skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including baseline development, resource loading, critical path analysis, progress updates, schedule integration and programme forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of delay analysis methodologies, time impact assessments, extension-of-time claims, recovery programmes and mitigation strategies.
