Senior Platform Engineer – Azure Focus

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve a reusable Azure AI platform for a large financial enterprise. The role focuses on cloud‑native platform capabilities, hybrid‑cloud ecosystems, and operationalizing AI services with strong security and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy modular Azure AI platform components, defining service contracts, tenancy patterns and scaling models.
• Standardize AI service access to Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Document Intelligence, and create reusable APIs, SDKs and reference implementations.
• Develop Terraform modules and templatized infrastructure patterns, embedding network, identity, security, tagging and observability.
• Implement policy‑as‑code and automated validation for naming, SKU approval, network isolation and compliance.
• Provide self‑service provisioning via GitHub Actions or platform APIs and manage release cycles, documentation and onboarding.
• Engineer production runtimes on AKS and Azure Container Apps, and manage API lifecycles with Azure API Management and Kong.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and GitHub Actions, including modular design and automated testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure API Management or Kong and deep knowledge of network architecture (VNETs, peering, firewalls, private links).
• Proven cloud and solution architecture skills, with experience in AKS, Azure Container Apps and Kubernetes.
• Ability to translate security, risk and compliance requirements into automated platform controls.
