Senior Plumbing Engineer

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Senior Plumbing Engineer for an electro-mechanical contracting company in Dubai. The engineer develops plumbing designs, supervises installation on site and helps control costs and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design detailed plumbing systems for commercial, residential and industrial projects and perform hydraulic calculations for water supply, drainage and firefighting systems
• Ensure designs comply with local codes and standards such as IPC, UPC, NFPA and ASHRAE, and select pipes, fittings, pumps, valves and fixtures
• Coordinate with HVAC, electrical and civil engineers to avoid clashes
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and method statements, and inspect sites so installations match approved drawings
• Assist with BOQ preparation, vendor evaluation and material procurement, and work with the commercial team on cost control
• Oversee pressure testing, leakage checks and system balancing, prepare test reports and as-built drawings
• Prepare technical reports, RFIs and progress reports, and attend meetings with consultants, clients and contractors
