Senior Principal Hook Up Engineer

About the role

The Senior Principal Hook Up Engineer leads the planning, execution and delivery of complex hook‑up and commissioning activities for offshore energy projects. This senior position requires innovative problem‑solving and coordination with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute hook‑up strategies, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements, conduct constructability reviews and manage shutdown/turnaround activities.
• Lead technical inspections, audits and HAZID/SIMOPS workshops, addressing issues and mitigating risks.
• Control overall budget, monitor offshore mobilization readiness and manage change processes (MOC).
• Supervise offshore day‑to‑day activities, conduct conference calls, and ensure team motivation and safety during execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of EPCI experience with a focus on hook‑up and commissioning, preferably offshore.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects and strong leadership in multidisciplinary environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and attention‑to‑detail under pressure.
