Senior Process Operator – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Process Operator to run, monitor and control oil and gas processing units. The role ensures safe operation, product quality and maximum plant yield while complying with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during normal operation, start‑ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Monitor instrumentation, take readings and ensure equipment operates within specified parameters.
• Log operating incidents, discuss them with supervisors and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise routine equipment checks, arrange servicing and repairs, and prepare units for maintenance.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities and enforce safety regulations.
• Manage chemical dosing, prepare solutions and adjust dosing rates following HSE procedures.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies according to the Facility Response Plan.
• Utilize the Integrated Control System to improve plant efficiency, product quality and safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating oil & gas processing units in a senior capacity.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret process diagrams, SOPs and safety documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills to diagnose abnormal situations and implement adjustments.
• Effective communication for shift hand‑overs and coordination with other departments.
