Senior Project Engineer – Steel Buildings

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer will lead the planning, execution, and close‑out of large‑scale steel building projects across the UAE, ensuring safety, quality, and value for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all project phases from concept to commissioning, managing schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, procurement, fabrication, and field crews.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, approve engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders.
• Monitor progress, generate performance reports, and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Lead value‑engineering initiatives and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (PE license preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing steel building construction projects.
• Proven track record delivering multi‑million‑dollar projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE, and local building codes.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or PMP is a plus.

Required skills

• Project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• BIM tools.
• Cost estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
