Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the role

A leading developer in Dubai is hiring a Senior Project Manager for infrastructure works. The role leads the delivery of large-scale projects such as roads, utilities, drainage and public realm, keeping them safe, on time, within budget and to high quality. It covers the full construction lifecycle, coordinating internal teams, contractors and consultants so that design, procurement and construction stay aligned.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution strategy for infrastructure works in line with project schedules and development plans.
• Manage delivery of roads, utilities, drainage and public realm works to approved designs, specifications and programmes.
• Act as main contact for contractors and consultants, coordinating with internal design, planning and commercial teams.
• Monitor progress, budgets and quality, identify risks and delays early and implement mitigation.
• Ensure site activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards.
• Review contractor submissions (method statements, shop drawings, schedules, progress reports) and oversee site inspections and quality control.
• Coordinate with authorities on inspections, approvals and permits, and manage the interface between contractors and infrastructure packages.
• Support contract administration, including variations, claims and contractor performance monitoring.
• Lead, mentor and develop the infrastructure delivery team.
• Report weekly and monthly to senior leadership on progress, risks and mitigation.

Required profile

• BSc in Civil Engineering or a Project / Construction Management discipline.
• 15+ years of infrastructure experience with major consultants or developers.
• UAE infrastructure design or delivery experience in a consultancy or client representative role.
• Proven track record of leading technical solutions on large-scale projects.
• Strong people leadership, commercial acumen and technical delivery skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, including technical writing; a thorough finisher who meets deadlines.
• Experience with Dubai authority approval processes is an advantage.
• IT Project Managers will not be considered.
