Senior Project Manager

About the role

Petrofac is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of energy infrastructure projects in Sharjah, UAE. The role involves overseeing all site activities, ensuring contractual compliance, and driving profitability while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all project/site activities, ensuring execution meets contractual requirements and profit targets.
• Review contract and tender documents to understand obligations and guide preliminary planning.
• Lead the mobilization team, assign actions, set timelines, and establish communication channels.
• Determine resourcing needs for staffing and plant, ensuring realistic and timely supply.
• Develop and maintain the project planning package, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee financial performance monitoring and budget control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide on‑site supervision to guarantee compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Manage project insurance requirements and secure appropriate coverage.
• Review and submit Safety and QA/QC plans for client approval.
• Resolve contractual or legal issues while protecting Petrofac from unnecessary risk.
• Maintain demobilization plans to facilitate workforce relocation and plant disposal or reuse.
• Act as Petrofac’s official representative with clients, suppliers, and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, tender processes, and project finance.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex mobilization activities.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and client representation.
• Detail‑oriented approach to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
