Senior Project Manager - Nuclear Power

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is hiring a Senior Project Manager for its Barakah NPP site in Abu Dhabi. You will lead project management processes and teams of around less than 10 people, which may include project controls, and report to the EMEA Project Execution Lead. The position is full-time and requires availability to work at Barakah NPP.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with the team, customers, suppliers, Westinghouse's in-country representation and other partners to deliver projects successfully.
• Carry out initiation and planning, including writing charters and project management plans with scope, schedule and cost baselines, risk and partner registers.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications and partners.
• Coordinate project communications so team, customer and partners stay informed of status.
• Identify opportunities for additional business growth and for efficiency and cost improvements such as process simplification.
• Perform the final project quality assessment and report out.
• Apply industry-standard tools and practices such as Human Performance, Nuclear Safety Culture, CAPA Corrective Actions Program and Learning Clocks, and follow Westinghouse quality procedures and the Quality Management System.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience as a project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction; power generation or nuclear experience is valuable.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and instrumentation and control is valuable.
• Project controls certifications (scheduling, estimating, earned value, risk) are valuable.
• Availability to work at Barakah NPP.
