Senior Project Manager - Stormwater

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead stormwater infrastructure projects as part of its Project Management Consultant (PMC) team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role covers complex stormwater management initiatives from conception through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all phases of stormwater management projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress against baselines and take corrective action
• Manage project teams of engineers, contractors and consultants, providing mentorship and clear communication
• Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Administer contracts with vendors, contractors and consultants and ensure compliance with their terms
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews
• Prepare project reports, progress updates and performance metrics for senior management and clients
• Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies on building codes and environmental standards
• Manage budgets, track expenditures and control costs
• Resolve issues promptly and escalate critical concerns to senior leadership

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior project management role
• Proven expertise in stormwater management, drainage systems or related infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated experience as a PMC on large-scale municipal or infrastructure projects
• Strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent, prior UAE or Middle East infrastructure experience, and familiarity with Abu Dhabi building codes and regulations
