Senior Pumping Station Operator – Water Utilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pumping Station Operator to lead the safe and reliable operation of water pumping stations, wells and associated equipment in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves supervising daily activities, monitoring control systems and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and supervise pumping stations, wells, pumps, motors, valves and control systems.
• Monitor operating parameters via SCADA, instrumentation and control systems.
• Lead equipment start‑up, shutdown, switching and operational changeovers.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify abnormalities and coordinate maintenance.
• Troubleshoot operational faults and support emergency response.
• Monitor alarms, maintain operational logs and prepare shift reports.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior operators.
• Ensure adherence to operational and HSE procedures.

Required profile

• High School, Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Water Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in water pumping stations, wells, water transmission or utility operations.
• Strong troubleshooting and decision‑making abilities.
• Previous experience supervising or acting as lead operator is preferred.
