Senior Quality Control Inspector

About the role

Vallourec is seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector to ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across its manufacturing operations. You will play a critical role in protecting customer satisfaction, product integrity, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce strict compliance with local regulations and Vallourec HSE policies.
• Promote a strong safety mindset, report near‑misses, unsafe acts, and injuries.
• Inspect, test, and measure raw materials, workpieces, and finished products using gauges and precision instruments.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to assess conformance.
• Place non‑conforming items on hold, tag, segregate, and report them.
• Prepare and maintain inspection documentation, including VAM® gauge bookings, Certificates of Conformance, and Material Test Reports.
• Support gauge calibration activities and ensure all measuring devices remain within valid calibration status.
• Maintain high traceability standards in line with the Quality Management System.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in industrial inspection and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of HSE procedures and a proactive safety attitude.
• Attention to detail and the capacity to stop work and escalate unsafe or non‑conforming conditions.

Required skills

• Gauge measurement and calibration management.
• Inspection and testing of materials using precision instruments.
• Quality documentation preparation (COC, MTR, traceability records).
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
