Senior Quality Officer - Ready Meals Production

About the role

Delicut makes fresh, nutritious ready meals and puts quality and food safety at the centre of its business. It is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Officer to oversee quality controls, ensure food safety compliance and work with the kitchen and operations teams so that quality is consistent from production to delivery. Key responsibilities

• Conduct QA/QC inspections of incoming materials, production processes and finished products.
• Verify batch records, quality documentation and product release requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor product traceability, allergen controls and quality specifications.
• Investigate nonconformities and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and improve quality procedures, SOPs and critical control points (CCPs).
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and regulatory audits.
• Analyse quality trends, identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
• Train kitchen and quality teams on food safety procedures and coordinate with production, warehouse, logistics and other teams.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, Nutrition or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing, ideally 7-8 years.
• Experience in ready meals, chilled foods, fresh food products or similar food production preferred.
• Ability to work closely with kitchen and operations teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety standards and quality control procedures.
• Hands-on experience in batch record reviews, inspections, nonconformity investigations and CAPA.
• Experience developing or implementing SOPs and CCPs.
• Strong documentation, problem-solving and communication skills.
