Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

KBR is hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Abu Dhabi, UAE, reporting to the Commercial Manager. The role covers reviewing, estimating, cost control, cash flow and reporting on allocated work packages within a project that includes critical infrastructure, utility works, service networks and community facilities such as schools, mosques and parks. KBR provides project management consultancy across all phases of delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain estimates, budgets, cost reports and cash flows
• Review and comment on variation requests and recommendations
• Review and recommend on consultant and contractor interim payments
• Review and comment on bids and contract award recommendation reports
• Estimate value engineering options and lifecycle costs
• Analyse and report on consultant and contractor cost reports and cash flows
• Coordinate with package managers, consultants and contractors
• Prepare monthly and weekly reports

Required profile

• BSc in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience and 10 years in a similar role
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Middle East
• Knowledge of engineering and commercial aspects of buildings and civil infrastructure projects (schools, mosques, parks, roads, bridges, utilities)
• Experience in conceptual estimating, cost planning, expenditure profiling, cost reporting and cost forecasting
• Fluent English, written and spoken; Arabic speaking is advantageous
