Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project quantities, costs, contracts and commercial activities. The role covers accurate cost estimation, measurement, valuation and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. The position is based on-site in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents to determine quantities and costs.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and expenditures.
• Review contractor quotations, payment applications and interim valuations.
• Assess variations, claims and final accounts.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and consultants.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, contracts and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and relevant standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Good analytical, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction measurement, BOQ preparation, estimation and contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying/estimating software; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
