Senior Real Estate Audit

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Real Estate Developer Auditor to join our audit team in Dubai. The Senior will lead comprehensive audits of real‑estate development companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial statement audits, internal control assessments, and compliance reviews for real‑estate developers.
• Evaluate the accuracy of records related to land acquisition, construction costs, revenue recognition, and asset valuation.
• Assess accounting policies applied to projects, including cost capitalization, impairment testing, and fair‑value measurement.
• Review contracts, joint ventures, lease agreements, and other legal documents to identify audit risks.
• Identify material misstatement and fraud risks, designing audit procedures to address them.
• Analyse project budgets, cost tracking, and cash‑flow management for financial integrity.
• Prepare clear audit reports with findings, recommendations, and improvement areas.
• Liaise with client management and project managers to discuss audit issues and facilitate resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 + years of audit experience, preferably with real‑estate or construction focus in a Big‑4 firm.
• Strong knowledge of relevant accounting standards (IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 40).

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with data‑analytics tools.
• In‑depth understanding of IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IAS 40.
• Fluent English; Arabic bilingualism is a plus.
