Senior Relationship Manager - Institutional Investors (Director Level)

About the role

A leading global asset management firm with an international presence and a growing institutional platform across the Middle East is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Senior Relationship Manager at Director or Executive Director level. The role strengthens institutional distribution and expands the firm's presence in the UAE, focusing on Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It is a senior, client-facing position requiring an established network of institutional investors and the ability to originate opportunities and raise capital.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development initiatives targeting institutional investors across the UAE and originate new investment opportunities and capital raising
• Engage prospective investors and build long-term relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, banks, insurance companies, endowments and family offices
• Work with global investment teams to introduce strategies to institutional clients and support distribution across fixed income, credit, equities and alternatives
• Monitor institutional trends, capital allocation priorities and competition, and provide market intelligence and client coverage records to regional leadership
• Contribute to regional distribution and investor coverage strategies

Required profile

• Minimum 10-15+ years of experience in institutional business development, relationship management or investment distribution
• Background in asset management, investment banking, financial institutions, private equity or related businesses
• Established network of institutional investors in the UAE, especially Abu Dhabi and Dubai
• Existing relationships with sovereign wealth funds, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, endowments and leading family offices
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is a significant advantage
• Preferred: existing investor relationships in other GCC markets, experience distributing fixed income and credit strategies, and GCC nationality

Required skills

• Strong understanding of investment products and institutional distribution
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship management skills
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating with international teams
