Senior SCADA & Communications Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SCADA & Communications Technician to lead the installation, maintenance and commissioning of electronic, pneumatic, mechanical and analytical instrumentation and control systems within our operating plant. The role involves supervising a team of technicians and contractors while ensuring compliance with HSE guidelines and the Permit to Work system.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electronic, pneumatic, mechanical and analytical instruments and control systems.
• Supervise and participate in ESD system testing, plant shutdowns and new plant commissioning.
• Oversee technicians, fitters and contractors to ensure work is performed safely and to specifications.
• Troubleshoot minor control issues and report major discrepancies for timely resolution.
• Manage spare parts inventory, tools and test equipment, ensuring availability for maintenance activities.
• Verify maintenance records, fault reports and alarm logs for accurate tracking.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and support UAE nationalisation programmes.
• Ensure adherence to all HSE policies, emergency response duties and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising instrumentation and control projects in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, Permit to Work procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors and manage spare parts and tool inventories.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for control‑related issues.
