Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

Penspen, an energy services company providing engineering, project management, asset management and integrity services, is looking for a Senior Scheduling/Planning Engineer (Offshore) to join its PMS project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role is accountable for managing the project controls team deployed across various projects, supporting the Project Management team acting on behalf of the client (Khafji Joint Operations, KJO) in delivering the programme of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the project controls team deployed on various projects
• Support the Project Management team, which represents the client and delivers the project programme
• Review early-stage deliverables (FEL1 and FEL2) from the KJO front-end development department on cost, schedule and risk

Required profile

• At least 14 years of experience, including at least 10 years directly in project management, planning and scheduling, cost estimation, cost and budget control, and procurement tracking and monitoring for major oil and gas projects
• Several years of experience in a similar PMC role is preferable
• Working knowledge of contracting types and strategies used in project execution
• Prior experience in schedule and cost benchmarking of oil and gas upstream projects
• An engineering, construction or project management degree

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6
