Senior Software Engineer – Developer Productivity

About the role

We are building the engineering foundations needed to develop, evaluate and deploy AI systems at government scale. As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Developer Productivity, you will create the platforms, tooling and workflows that enable engineers to move quickly while meeting strict security, reliability and governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement developer platforms and tooling used across AI engineering teams.
• Create fast, reproducible development environments for macOS, Windows and Linux.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, build caching, merge queues, automated testing and deployment processes.
• Develop infrastructure that supports LLM, agent and AI evaluation workflows.
• Ensure parity between local, CI and production environments.
• Automate developer provisioning, onboarding and environment configuration.
• Implement observability for builds, tests, evaluations and deployments.
• Identify engineering bottlenecks and automate them away.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with production‑grade coding experience.
• Experience in developer productivity, platform engineering, infrastructure or build systems.
• Built tooling for large or multi‑language codebases.
• Hands‑on experience with modern CI/CD, containers and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code and GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Bonus: experience with AI/ML infrastructure, LLM/agent platforms, evaluation systems or regulated environments.
