Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Property Finder’s core marketplace team in Dubai. You will build and operate high‑traffic, consumer‑facing backend services that power the region’s leading property portal.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in TypeScript (Node.js) and Go.
• Own the full lifecycle of services – from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, observability, and iteration.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and front‑end engineers to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable systems.
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance optimisation.
• Mentor engineers, conduct thorough code and design reviews, and contribute to backend standards.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience on high‑traffic, consumer‑facing systems.
• Proven ability to design, ship, and operate micro‑services at scale.
• Strong ownership mindset – you notice problems, propose solutions, and follow through.
• Clear communication of technical trade‑offs to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• TypeScript (Node.js) and Go.
• AWS services (ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache).
• Kubernetes and containerised deployments.
• Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and search engines (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch).
• Redis, Kafka, and event‑driven architectures.
• REST/gRPC API design, observability (metrics, logging, tracing), and incident management.
