Senior Specialist - Credit

About the role

Midis Group is hiring a Senior Specialist - Credit in Dubai. The role evaluates and develops the creditworthiness of existing and new customers, manages collections and reduces credit risk and days sales outstanding (DSO). It also covers credit insurance reporting, ensuring compliance with the insurance policy and obtaining sufficient coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on accounts receivable collection, reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies and escalate irregularities to the Credit Manager
• Handle customer credit issues in coordination with the sales team and other departments
• Prepare quarterly balance confirmations and monthly client statements
• Build and maintain customer credit files with supporting documents, updating them regularly
• Define and evaluate credit limits based on audited financial statements, market feedback and asset appraisals, and approve credit lines within the insured limit
• Report adverse information to the insurance company immediately to avoid breach of the policy
• Oversee resolution of unpaid debts, including legal proceedings and settlements
• Streamline LC transactions and ensure LC/BG terms and conditions are met so payments close quickly with minimal cost and risk
• Visit customers regularly, manage their accounts and collect information for financial reviews
• Prepare periodic MIS and data management reports for the Credit Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar Accounts Receivable / Collections role
• Strong experience driving collections, monitoring accounts receivable ageing and setting action plans for overdue accounts
• Proven cross-functional coordination to resolve invoicing, documentation and commercial issues delaying payment
