Senior Specialist - Program Cost Controller

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Senior Specialist to act as Program Cost Controller for the Maestral ISS SPP Program. You will support effective financial management by monitoring budgets, expenditures, commitments and forecasts, and provide timely cost information to drive program decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the program budget and track actual spend, purchase commitments and accruals against approved lines.
• Prepare and regularly update cost forecasts, cost‑to‑complete estimates and projected final costs.
• Analyse variances, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Produce accurate cost reports for the Program Manager, Finance team and governance meetings.
• Collaborate with Procurement to monitor PO values, supplier commitments and budget ceilings.
• Assess financial impact of scope changes, contractual variations and ensure budgets reflect approved changes.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate pricing, schedule shifts and program decisions.
• Escalate potential overruns, funding gaps or discrepancies to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA or CPA are advantageous.
• 5–8 years of experience in project cost control, program finance or management accounting.
• Background in engineering, maritime, MRO, defence or similar project‑based environments.
• Proven experience working with Program Management, Procurement and Contract Management teams.
