Senior Specialist – Scheduling & Transportation Information

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Scheduling & Transportation Information will manage the planning and analysis of urban, feeder, intercity, cost‑sharing and seasonal bus services. The role ensures that schedules align with RTA and PTA policies, operational realities and service‑quality objectives while addressing stakeholder concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adjust bus route schedules in line with strategic coverage and policy requirements.
• Analyse running‑time data, driver work‑hours and operational factors to support day‑to‑day timetable decisions.
• Coordinate with OCC, bus operations, vendors and PTA stakeholders to monitor schedule adherence and implement service enhancements.
• Maintain the public bus network database, generate performance, OTP and service‑change reports for senior management.
• Streamline scheduling processes, propose improvements based on data, complaints and stakeholder feedback.
• Update GIS data and manage integrated geospatial databases supporting planning and passenger information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Civil or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 6+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree (8+ years with a Bachelor’s).
• UAE national citizenship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling software and database management.
• GIS knowledge for transport‑related spatial data.
• Strong data‑analysis capabilities.
