Senior System Administrator – Azure Cloud & Windows

About the role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Windows Server environments to support a leading insurance client in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining hybrid cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, high availability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Azure resources including VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks, and backup solutions.
• Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and core Active Directory services.
• Design and support hybrid on‑premise and cloud architectures, integrating Azure AD and on‑prem AD.
• Implement security controls, IAM policies, NSGs, Azure Defender, and conditional access.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep, and Terraform.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and manage AKS clusters.
• Provide Level‑3 troubleshooting for complex technical issues and support disaster‑recovery solutions such as Azure Site Recovery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Azure cloud administration and Windows Server management.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a security‑first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
