Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced wireless communication systems for defence and emerging technology solutions. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will work with cross‑functional teams to translate bold ideas into reliable, secure hardware and software architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain system requirements, design specifications, architecture diagrams and API documentation.
• Perform system integration, testing and validation of wireless communication devices, including Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE and 5G.
• Define system architecture, decompose requirements, allocate interfaces and conduct trade‑studies.
• Apply knowledge of RF design, antenna systems and wireless standards/protocols.
• Understand embedded hardware, software, RTL and hardware security fundamentals such as HSM, secure boot and TEE.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s/PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of systems engineering or embedded systems development experience, including leading technical and cross‑functional teams.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with wireless communication technologies.

Required skills

• RF design and antenna system expertise.
• Wireless standards and protocol knowledge (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G).
• Embedded systems hardware‑software integration.
• Hardware security concepts (HSM, secure boot, TEE).
• Technical writing and clear communication.
