Senior Tax Specialist – Middle East & Africa

About the role

The Senior Tax Specialist will lead tax compliance for Canon Inc.’s operations across the Middle East and Africa, based in Dubai. The role ensures that all statutory tax obligations are met accurately and on time, while providing expert tax advice to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full tax compliance for all Middle East and African entities.
• Prepare and file tax declarations, returns and other statutory submissions within required deadlines.
• Liaise with Business, Finance, IT, Regional Tax and HQ teams to gather necessary information.
• Provide tax advice and support to business units operating in the region.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities, external auditors and advisors.
• Support tax governance, risk‑management, e‑invoicing and other compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate tax compliance, preferably in a multinational environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of tax legislation in the Middle East and Africa.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tax jurisdictions.
