Senior Technical DevOps Engineer – Container Platform (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates Group is seeking a Senior Technical DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation and operation of container platforms across its cloud environment. The role focuses on driving DevOps and automation practices, ensuring reliability, scalability and security of mission‑critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the discovery and migration phases for cloud adoption, partnering with architects and security teams to define DevOps and cloud engineering architectures.
• Automate change management, resiliency, monitoring, capacity planning and emergency response for assigned product suites.
• Own service reliability, scalability and performance for Agile release trains, improving continuous deployment pipelines.
• Review and optimise deployment and operational environments, reducing failure rates and expanding observability.
• Collaborate with Release Engineering, Product Development and Security to implement canary deployments, roll‑backs and secure release processes.
• Design and maintain technical environments for CI/CD based on cloud‑native principles such as the 12‑factor app methodology.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS and related container platforms.
