Senior Technical Manager – Civil Engineering

About the role

Meraki Integrated Contracting is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead civil and structural engineering activities across multiple high‑rise projects in the UAE. The role focuses on managing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with local authorities, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and comment on pre‑qualification documents, material submittals, technical compliance statements, shop drawings, design calculations and method statements.
• Manage engineering submission logs, material submittal logs, RFI logs and ensure alignment with the baseline programme.
• Coordinate with consultants, project managers, construction teams, QA/QC, procurement and subcontractors to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Prepare and review technical packages for procurement, evaluate supplier capabilities and support techno‑commercial tender evaluations.
• Provide value‑engineering proposals, alternative material suggestions and innovative solutions to reduce cost and schedule.
• Conduct site visits to monitor technical compliance, address construction issues and support the project team.
• Lead the technical team, including engineers, coordinators, BIM resources and document controllers, and monitor KPI and submission status.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of total experience, with at least 8 years in the UAE construction sector, preferably on mid‑rise/high‑rise commercial, residential or mixed‑use projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; a Master’s in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, DDA, DCD, RTA, etc.).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects from design through hand‑over and to lead a technical team of 4‑5 members.
