Senior Technical Software Engineer – AI Platforms

About the role

As a Senior Technical Software Engineer on the AI Platform team, you will design and deliver secure, scalable AI capabilities that serve the entire Emirates group. You will work with large language models, open‑weight models and agentic AI services, turning them into reusable components and accelerators for product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy complex AI solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP, including Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry/OpenAI and Vertex AI.
• Implement production‑ready AI patterns such as model routing, prompt caching, context management, retrieval, grounding and evaluation harnesses.
• Build responsible‑AI guardrails, input/output filtering, secure data and secret handling, and techniques to reduce hallucination, bias and prompt‑injection.
• Drive engineering best practices: automated CI/CD, test‑driven development, agile processes, root‑cause analysis and blameless post‑mortems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess solution viability, prototype proofs‑of‑concept and guide technical design reviews.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality expectations.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale AI services in a cloud environment.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI principles and security/privacy requirements.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, conduct design reviews and mentor team members.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex, rare edge‑case issues.
