Senior Technician – Quality Control

About the role

ADVANCED CONCEPTS, part of EDGE, is accelerating the development of high‑technology autonomous systems for aerospace and defense. The Senior Technician – QC will lead the quality control function, ensuring that all machined and fabricated components meet rigorous customer and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality control for incoming, in‑process, and final inspection of all components.
• Supervise QC inspectors and enforce adherence to drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Review and approve inspection reports, maintain traceability, and manage non‑conformance documentation.
• Coordinate with production, design, and planning teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and manage CMM operations and inspection routines.
• Support internal and external audits, prepare quality documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with ISO/AS9100 or customer‑specific quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Quality Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of quality control experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality inspection tools.
• Experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, or defense sectors.

Required skills

• Operation of coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other precision tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators).
• Proficiency in interpreting GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Documentation of NCRs, CAPAs, and maintenance of inspection records.
• Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 standards and internal audit processes.
