Senior Tennis Coach

About the role

JTP Tennis Academy is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Tennis Coach to join its growing coaching team. The role focuses on developing players of all ages, with a strong emphasis on competitive junior pathways and high‑performance performance. You will work in a structured academy environment supporting tournament‑ready athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality individual and group tennis coaching sessions for all age groups and standards.
• Lead the development of competitive junior players for local, regional and international tournaments.
• Design and implement individualized player development plans.
• Coach players during tournaments, providing match analysis and performance feedback.
• Develop technical, tactical, physical and mental skills in line with academy methodology.
• Monitor player progress and maintain regular communication with players and parents.
• Assist with player assessments, pathway recommendations and squad placements.
• Support academy events, camps, internal competitions and promotional activities.
• Maintain a safe, positive and professional coaching environment.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches and academy management to ensure consistent coaching experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of tennis coaching experience, including work with competitive junior players.
• Recognised high‑level coaching certification (e.g., ITF Level 2, PTR Professional, RPT Professional, GPTCA, LTA Level 4+, Tennis Australia Club Professional or equivalent).
• Proven track record of developing players competing at national, regional or international levels.
• Experience providing tournament coaching, match analysis and performance planning.
• Strong understanding of modern player development principles (technical, tactical, physical, mental).
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with players, parents and coaches.
• First‑Aid certification is an advantage.
• Passionate about player development, energetic, professional and able to inspire young athletes.
