Senior Wayfinding Designer

About the role

WSP is looking for a Senior Wayfinding Designer to provide design leadership and project management expertise on a diverse range of wayfinding projects across the region. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative wayfinding solutions that meet client objectives and exceed industry standards, leading projects from conception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design development and implementation of wayfinding projects from start to finish.
• Develop the creative direction and execution of wayfinding, signage and placemaking projects in line with project goals and client expectations.
• Create compelling narratives and presentations to communicate strategy and design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers and other stakeholders to propose integrated wayfinding solutions.
• Mentor and guide the team, fostering creativity, excellence and collaboration.
• Manage project schedules, resources and workflow to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in wayfinding design.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Graphic Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in wayfinding design, signage and environmental graphics across masterplans, luxury hospitality, residential, mixed-use, retail, commercial, entertainment, healthcare and education.
• Proven ability to lead complex wayfinding projects from concept to completion, supported by a strong design portfolio.
• Knowledge of local regulations, codes and standards governing wayfinding and architectural projects in the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of materials, fabrication techniques and detailed design drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects at once.
• Willingness to travel internationally to support project requirements and client interactions.
