Service Supervisor – Lead Workshop & Field Service Operations

About the role

The Service Supervisor will lead and support both workshop and field service operations for Volvo Penta products. You will be responsible for supervising technical service activities, driving service quality, improving efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, develop and train the service team to meet departmental and business objectives, maintaining high morale and productivity.
• Oversee repair, assembly, installation, commissioning and technical support for Volvo Penta engines both in‑house and on‑site, including diagnostics, part costing, quotations and job execution.
• Supervise engine testing, full system testing and ensure proper job closing, WIP inventory control and documentation.
• Respond to technical inquiries, monitor service quality, maintain communication with customers and recommend improvements.
• Ensure workshop and field environments meet quality, safety, cleanliness and operational discipline standards.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or equivalent in mechanical or automotive engineering (preferred).
• Strong experience in service operations, engine diagnostics and repair activities.
• Proven leadership experience supervising workshop or field service teams.
• Knowledge of Volvo Penta products is a plus.
• Ability to manage customer‑facing technical discussions.
