Service Technician – Diesel Engine Overhaul & Field Service

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to perform diesel engine overhauls, diagnostics, and maintenance in both workshop and field environments. The role involves working with Perkins engines and delivering high‑quality service to our clients across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Overhaul diesel engines in workshop and on‑site, following manufacturer standards.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, analyze results, and identify faults using electronic service tools.
• Promote service sales by identifying upsell opportunities for spare parts and maintenance packages.
• Perform preventive maintenance, pre‑delivery inspections, load bank testing, and engine diagnostics.
• Attend product training and apply technical knowledge on the job.
• Follow safe working practices and company policies.
• Submit daily activity reports via field service reports and workshop timesheets.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of workshop, tools, and service vehicle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in a technical field or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in diesel engine overhauling, preferably with Perkins engines.
• Certification from Perkins is a plus.
• Strong technical skills in mechanical and electrical engine servicing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Ability to identify service‑sales opportunities and upsell to customers.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Honest, reliable, safety‑conscious and able to work independently.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
