Settlement Accountant – FMCG

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Settlement Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on daily invoice settlement, goods receipt verification, and cash handling within the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily invoice settlement and GRV (Goods Received Voucher) processes in line with company policies.
• Record payment receipts, perform reconciliations and allocate payments for the assigned location.
• Follow up on route verifications and chase overdue accounts receivable balances.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) process.
• Manage cash, cheque and post‑dated cheque collections and guarantee timely bank deposits.
• Conduct monthly inventory verification for the location.
• Verify cheques and post‑dated cheques for authenticity and accuracy.
• Handle petty‑cash disbursements and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain comprehensive sales documentation for audit and future reference.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce, Accounting or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in FMCG or operations.
• Strong team player with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work at any location within the UAE.
