About the role
The Shopping Experience Team Leader at IKEA Al Ain drives sales growth and ensures profitability by delivering a seamless, self‑serve shopping experience. You will lead a team of co‑workers, uphold IKEA’s standards, and maintain high customer satisfaction through effective flow management and support.
Key responsibilities
- Guide customers to ensure smooth store flow and maintain waiting‑time benchmarks.
- Handle escalated customer complaints promptly and positively.
- Motivate and coach team members on product knowledge, sales targets and SOPs.
- Oversee training, probation periods and performance of co‑workers.
- Manage daily cash float, perform end‑of‑day reconciliation and collaborate with Finance on discrepancies.
- Monitor and achieve departmental KPIs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Ensure all SOPs are communicated and adhered to by the team.
Required profile
- Proactive problem‑solver with a strong customer‑focus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop a retail team.
- Attention to detail in cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
