Site Electrical Engineer – Electrical Systems Supervision

About the role

The company is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer to lead the installation and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites in Dubai. The role involves supervising power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV and other low‑current systems to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor on‑site installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV and low‑current networks.
• Conduct site inspections, verify progress and quality, and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications and codes such as NEC, NFPA and local UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth site operations.
• Review shop drawings, method statements and material submittals for compliance with design intent.
• Monitor testing, commissioning and safety procedures, and prepare daily/weekly progress reports for the construction manager.
• Support handover activities, ensuring punch‑list items and final testing are completed to standard.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical engineering on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE codes (DEWA, TAQA/ADDC, SEWA) and international standards (NEC, NFPA, HTM).
• Experience with FIDIC contracts and coordination with supervision consultants is a plus.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.
