Site Engineer - Building Construction

About the role

Our client is a well‑established UAE‑based construction company that delivers residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and other building projects across the United Arab Emirates. The Building Division handles civil, structural and architectural works and is looking for a Site Engineer to coordinate and supervise site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review project drawings and assess material, manpower and equipment requirements, coordinating material requests with Procurement.
• Monitor site progress against the approved programme, report delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise daily site activities, manage the workforce, subcontractors and site teams to ensure works meet specifications.
• Liaise with Site Management, consultants and subcontractors on progress, technical issues, drawing changes and manpower needs.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to conduct inspections and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring safety, timeliness and required quality.
• Review and close out consultant/authority snag lists and ensure corrective works are completed.
• Assist with project completion, handover and site demobilisation, preparing relevant reports and documentation.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in building or general construction.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in site supervision, construction coordination and subcontractor management.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, quality requirements and project programmes.
