Site Engineer

About the role

Al-Futtaim Real Estate, part of the Al-Futtaim group, is hiring a Site Engineer. The role oversees construction projects so they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, managing day-to-day site activities including safety compliance and environmental standards. It involves close communication with project managers, subcontractors and clients, and resolving issues quickly to keep projects running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver construction projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Resolve technical and logistical issues quickly and minimize delays by proactively managing site operations.
• Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Manage multiple subcontractors, suppliers and site workers with differing priorities and schedules.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with project managers, subcontractors and clients, translating technical details into clear instructions and reports.

Required profile

• At least 3-5 years of experience in construction site management or a related field.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and site management best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Proficiency with project management tools and site reporting software.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labour teams.
• Organizational skills, risk anticipation, leadership and resilience under pressure.
