Site Project Manager – SWRO Desalination

About the role

The Site Project Manager will lead all on‑site activities for a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination plant in Fujairah, UAE. You will be responsible for delivering construction, installation and commissioning works on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day site operations for the SWRO project, coordinating civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
• Oversee installation of intake/outfall, pretreatment, RO units and post‑treatment systems.
• Enforce HSE standards and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and monitor progress against approved schedules and budgets.
• Prepare regular status reports, identify risks and define mitigation actions.
• Manage site resources including manpower, equipment and materials.
• Support testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities and resolve technical issues on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15‑20 years of experience in large industrial or infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years in a site‑manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience with SWRO desalination or large‑scale water‑treatment projects.
• Experience working on projects in the Middle East, preferably the UAE.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP or NEBOSH are preferred.
