About the role
ASSA ABLOY Group is looking for a skilled Grinder to operate grinding equipment at its Dubai facility. The role involves handling various grinding machines and ensuring high‑quality finished parts.
Key responsibilities
- Operate grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, centerless, etc.)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Select and use appropriate grinding wheel types, abrasives, and dressing techniques
- Stand for long periods and handle heavy materials safely
- Maintain hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity during operations
- Follow workplace safety standards and use personal protective equipment
- Handle hazardous materials or environments in compliance with safety regulations
Required skills
- Operating grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, centerless)
- Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
- Knowledge of grinding wheel types, abrasives, and dressing techniques
- Understanding of workplace safety standards and PPE usage
- Experience handling hazardous materials
