Skilled Services Technician

About the role

The Skilled Services Technician joins NTT DATA to provide equipment setup, software configuration, and technical support at client sites. The role works closely with engineering teams to install, test, and maintain both hardware and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide telephonic, remote, and on‑site support, logging all repairs and issues.
• Perform routine server and network maintenance, including backup system setup for desktops and file servers.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot hardware and software, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Engage with clients, assisting with installations and break/fix functions while ensuring a positive client experience.
• Monitor ITSM queues proactively and may act as an informal team leader.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work in multicultural teams.
• Client‑focused mindset with the ability to adapt to varying scenarios.

Required skills

• Active Directory knowledge (user/computer account management).
• A+ certification (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Experience with server platforms and network hardware maintenance.
• Backup system configuration for desktops and file servers.
