Smart Campus Architect

About the role

DXC Technology is looking for a Smart Campus Architect to lead the design and integration of intelligent‑building technologies across a large‑scale enterprise transformation programme. You will own the reference architecture for ELV, IoT, BMS and physical security platforms and ensure they connect securely and resiliently across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the reference architecture for smart‑campus technologies, including BMS, ELV, access control, CCTV, audiovisual and IoT.
• Design campus topology, integration patterns, protocols (BACnet, Modbus), data flows and security boundaries.
• Establish standards and governance for edge and IoT connectivity, gateway architectures and data‑ingestion.
• Guide vendors and engineers, review specifications, and ensure architectural quality from design through implementation.
• Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects to align building systems with broader IT architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Typically 7+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years hands‑on BMS platform work.
• Proven technical leadership in intelligent‑building architecture and integration.
• Experience with at least two of: access control, HVAC, fire systems, CCTV or IoT sensor deployments.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with BMS platforms such as Niagara, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Honeywell or Siemens.
• Knowledge of building automation protocols including BACnet and Modbus.
• Design of access‑control, CCTV, audiovisual and sensor integration.
• IoT sensor, gateway and edge connectivity architecture.
• Enterprise integration and data‑ingestion for building systems.
• Security, resilience and scalability in converged OT‑IT environments.
